	6 6 153 101 2 1:6			Guide us to the straight path.
				صِرَطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ
	7 7 154 102 4 1:7			The path of those whom You have blessed, not of those who deserved wrath, nor of the strayers.

				ذَلِكَ الْكِتَبُ لا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
	9 2 4615 2216 5 2:2			This book, without a doubt, is guidance for the god-fearing.
				ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
	10 3 4616 2217 6 2:3			Those who have a faithful heart and observe the contact prayer and from what We provide for them, they spend.
				وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَبِالآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ
	11 4 4617 2218 3 2:4			And those who believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you and they are absolutely certain about the Hereafter.
				أُولَئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
	12 5 4618 2219 7 2:5			They have received guidance from their Lord and they are the successful ones.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ  أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ
	13 6 4619 2220 4 2:6			Indeed, as for those who are unfaithful, it is the same for them if you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
				خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَرِهِمْ غِشَوَةٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
	14 7 4620 2221 3(3), 1(1) 770(971) 8 2:7			God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and there is a veil over their eyes. And for them, there is a tremendous suffering.
				وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَمَا هُمْ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
	15 8 4621 2222 4(4), 2(2) 771(972) 5 2:8			And amongst people are those who say, we believe in God and in the Last Day, however, they really do not believe.
				يُخَدِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
	16 9 4622 2223 5(5), 3(3) 772(973) 6 2:9			They try to deceive God and the faithful, however, they do not deceive anyone but themselves while they do not perceive.
				فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ
	17 10 4623 2224 6(6), 4(4) 773(974) 7 2:10			There is a disease in their hearts; consequently God increases the disease for them. And for them, there is a painful suffering because of what they rejected.
				وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
	18 11 4624 2225 9 2:11			And when they are told, do not spread corruption throughout the earth; they say we are indeed righteous.
				أَلا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَكِنْ لا يَشْعُرُونَ
	19 12 4625 2226 8 2:12			Indeed, they do spread corruption, but they do not perceive.
				وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَكِنْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ
	20 13 4626 2227 10 2:13			And when they are told, believe like the people have done, they say; should we believe like the fools have believed?  Indeed they are fools, but they do not know.
				وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَى شَيَطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ
	21 14 4627 2228 9 2:14			When they meet the faithful, they say we believe, and when they are alone with their demons, they say we are with you, we were only mocking.
				اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
	22 15 4628 2229 7(7), 5(5) 774(975) 10 2:15			God mocks them and keeps them in their transgression blind.
				أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّللَةَ بِالْهُدَى فَمَا رَبِحَتْ تِجَرَتُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ
	23 16 4629 2230 11 2:16			These are the ones who have bought straying instead of guidance, consequently, their trade will not yield dividend and they will never be guided.
				مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَتٍ لا يُبْصِرُونَ
	24 17 4630 2231 8(8), 6(6) 775(976) 11 2:17			Their example is like the one who lit a fire, once it brightened his surroundings; God took away his light and left him in the darkness, not being able to see.
				صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لا يَرْجِعُونَ
	25 18 4631 2232 12 2:18			Deaf, dumb, and blind, consequently, they will never return.
				أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَبِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ مِنَ الصَّوَعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللَّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَفِرِينَ
	26 19 4632 2233 9(9), 7(7) 776(977) 12 2:19			Or, like a storm from the sky full of darkness, thunder and lightning, they cover their ears from the concussion, fleeing death; however, God is completely surrounding the unfaithful.
				يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَرَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُمْ مَشَوْا فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَرِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
	27 20 4633 2234 10(10,11), 8(8,9) 777(978,979) 13 2:20			The lightning almost takes away their eyesight. When there is light they all move and when it becomes dark, they stand still. Had God willed, He would have taken their hearing and their eyesight. Surely, God is All Powerful over all things.
				يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
	28 21 4634 2235 14 2:21			O you people, worship your Lord, the One who created you as well as those before you, that you may become god-fearing.
				الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَكُمْ فَلا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	29 22 4635 2236 11(12), 9(10) 778(980) 15 2:22			He is the One who made matter to spread out and the vacuum a structure and he sends from the sky water, and He brings out with it all kinds of fruits as provisions for you. Therefore, do not set up equals for God while you know.
				وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِنْ مِثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
	30 23 4636 2237 12(13), 10(11) 779(981) 13 2:23			And if you are in doubt regarding what We have revealed to our servant, then bring a chapter like this and call upon your witnesses other than God if you are truthful.
				فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَلَنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَفِرِينَ
	31 24 4637 2238 16 2:24			However, if you cannot achieve this and you will certainly not be able to, then you shall fear Hell whose fuel is people and rocks.  This is what is promised to the unfaithful.
				وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّلِحَتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأنْهَرُ كُلَّمَا رُزِقُوا مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَمَرَةٍ رِزْقًا قَالُوا هَذَا الَّذِي رُزِقْنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَأُتُوا بِهِ مُتَشَبِهًا وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
	32 25 4638 2239 17 2:25			And give good news to those who are faithful and lead a righteous life, that indeed for them are paradises with flowing streams beneath them.  When they are provided with fruits as provisions, they say, this is what was provided for us previously.  And give them more of the similar ones, and for them are pure spouses and they will dwell therein forever.
				إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ يَضْرِبَ مَثَلا مَا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلا يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيرًا وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلا الْفَسِقِينَ
	33 26 4639 2240 13(14,15), 11(12,13) 780(982,983) 18 2:26			Indeed God does not shy away from citing the example of the mosquito and what is above it. Consequently, the faithful know that indeed this is the truth from their Lord, but those who are unfaithful will subsequently say; what did God mean by this example?  He misleads with it many and guides with it many. However, He does not mislead therewith, except those who are wicked.
				الَّذِينَ يَنْقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مِيثَقِهِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الأرْضِ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَسِرُونَ
	34 27 4640 2241 14(16,17), 12(14,15) 781(984,985) 19 2:27			These are the ones who break God's covenant after pledging to uphold it, and disregard what God commands to be upheld, and spread corruption throughout the land.  These are the real losers.
				كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَكُنْتُمْ أَمْوَتًا فَأَحْيَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
	35 28 4641 2242 15(18), 13(16) 782(986) 20 2:28			How can you have no faith in God, the One who resurrected you from death, then He puts you to death, and subsequently He gives you life, then to Him you will return.
				هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الأرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَوَاتٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
	36 29 4642 2243 14 2:29			He is the One who created for you everything with matter; then He turned to the vacuum and made it balanced as seven vacua. And He is the Knower of all things.
				وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَنْ يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ
	37 30 4643 2244 21 2:30			And when your Lord said to the angels, I am the appointer of a vicegerent on the land, they said will You appoint someone therein who will spread corruption and shed blood, while we glorify and praise You and consider You sacred?  He said I have complete knowledge while you do not know.
				وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الأسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلائِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَؤُلاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
	38 31 4644 2245 15 2:31			And He taught Adam all the names, afterwards, He presented them to the angels and said, inform Me of these names if you are truthful.
				قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ
	39 32 4645 2246 22 2:32			They said, glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, You are The All Knowing, The All Wise.
				قَالَ يَا آدَمُ أَنْبِئْهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ فَلَمَّا أَنْبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
	40 33 4646 2247 23 2:33			He said, O Adam; inform them of their names. Once he informed them of their names, He said, did I not tell you that I fully know the secret of the vacua and matter and fully know what you declare and what you conceal.
				وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَفِرِينَ
	41 34 4647 2248 24 2:34			And when We said to the angels; honor Adam, they all honored him, except Iblis who refused; he turned arrogant and became a disbeliever.
				وَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَكُلا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلا تَقْرَبَا هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
	42 35 4648 2249 25 2:35			And We said to Adam, dwell in paradise, you and your wife and eat from it whatever you desire, however, do not approach this tree, lest both of you become transgressors.
				فَأَزَلَّهُمَا الشَّيْطَنُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيه وَقُلْنَا اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكُمْ فِي الأرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ
	43 36 4649 2250 26 2:36			However, Satan duped the two of them and caused their eviction from where they were, and We said; go down as enemies of one another, and the land shall be your abode and sustenance for awhile.
				فَتَلَقَّى آدَمُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيم
	44 37 4650 2251 16 2:37			Subsequently, Adam received from his Lord words by which He accepted his repentance. Indeed, He is The Accepter of Repentance, The All Merciful.
				قُلْنَا اهْبِطُوا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًا فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ مِنِّي هُدًى فَمَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
	45 38 4651 2252 27 2:38			We said, go down from here all of you.  Then when you receive guidance from Me, whoever follows My guidance has nothing to fear nor will he grieve.
				وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَتِنَا أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
	46 39 4652 2253 28 2:39			As for those who are unfaithful and reject Our proofs, they are dwellers of Hell. They will abide therein eternally.
				يَا بَنِي إِسْرَئِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَوْفُوا بِعَهْدِي أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ
	47 40 4653 2254 29 2:40			O Children of Israel, remember My blessings that I bestowed upon you, and be faithful to My covenant as I am faithful to your covenant, and be mindful of Me alone.
				وَآمِنُوا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلا تَكُونُوا أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍ بِهِ وَلا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا وَإِيَّايَ فَاتَّقُونِ
	48 41 4654 2255 17 2:41			And believe in what is revealed, which confirms what you already uphold and do not be the first to reject it. And do not trade My proofs for a cheap price and fear Me alone.
				وَلا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	49 42 4655 2256 30 2:42			And do not dress up the truth with falsehood and do not hide the truth while you know.
				وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَوةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّكِعِينَ
	50 43 4656 2257 18 2:43			And observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and bow down with those who bow down.
				أَتَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَتْلُونَ الْكِتَبَ أَفَلا تَعْقِلُونَ
	51 44 4657 2258 31 2:44			Do you enjoin people to be righteous while you forget it yourselves as you recite the scripture?  Do you not think?
				وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلوةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلا عَلَى الْخَشِعِينَ
	52 45 4658 2259 32 2:45			And seek help for patience and the contact prayer.  This is a huge task except for those who are humble.
				الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُلاقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
	53 46 4659 2260 33 2:46			These are the ones who know they will meet their Lord and indeed they will return to Him.
				يَا بَنِي إِسْرَئِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَلَمِينَ
	54 47 4660 2261 19 2:47			O Children of Israel remember My blessings that I bestowed upon you and indeed I preferred you over all the people.
				وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا لا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَلا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ
	55 48 4661 2262 34 2:48			And fear the day when no soul can help another soul and no intercession will be accepted on her behalf and no ransom will be taken and no one will be helped.
				وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ وَفِي ذَلِكُمْ بَلاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ

				وَإِذْ فَرَقْنَا بِكُمُ الْبَحْرَ فَأَنْجَيْنَكُمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ
	57 50 4663 2264 36 2:50			And when We parted the sea for you, then rescued you and drowned the people of Pharaoh, right before your eyes.
				وَإِذْ وَعَدْنَا مُوسَى أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنْتُمْ ظَلِمُونَ
	58 51 4664 2265 37 2:51			And when We gave an audience to Moses for forty nights, subsequently you preferred the calf instead, right after he left. And it was you who were transgressors.
				ثُمَّ عَفَوْنَا عَنْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
	59 52 4665 2266 38 2:52			Subsequently, We pardoned you afterwards, that you may be appreciative.
				وَإِذْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَبَ وَالْفُرْقَانَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
	60 53 4666 2267 20 2:53			And recall that We gave Moses the scripture and the statute book, that you may become guided.
				وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوا إِلَى بَارِئِكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ بَارِئِكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
	61 54 4667 2268 39 2:54			And when Moses said to his people; O my people you have wronged yourselves when you preferred the calf, therefore, repent to your Designer, then kill your egos, this is better for you in the site of your Designer, He then accepted your repentance. Indeed, He is The Accepter of Repentance, The All Merciful.
				وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى نَرَى اللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ الصَّعِقَةُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ
	62 55 4668 2269 16(19), 14(17) 783(987) 40 2:55			And when you said, O Moses we will not believe you until we see God physically, then the lightning overwhelmed you as you were watching.
				ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَاكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
	63 56 4669 2270 41 2:56			Subsequently, We resurrected you after you died that you may become appreciative.
				وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْغَمَامَ وَأَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَى كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
	64 57 4670 2271 42 2:57			And We shaded you with the clouds and sent down for you manna and quail. Eat from the good things We have provided for you. Furthermore, they did not hurt Us in the least, but they hurt their own souls.
				وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ادْخُلُوا هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا حِطَّةٌ نَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
	65 58 4671 2272 43 2:58			And when We said; enter this town and eat plenty of whatever you desire and enter the gate prostrating and speak humbly; We will forgive your sins and will give manifold to the do-gooders.
				فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا قَوْلا غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا رِجْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ
	66 59 4672 2273 21 2:59			Then those who transgressed changed what was told to them, consequently, We sent down a misery from the sky upon those who transgressed, because of their wickedness.
				وَإِذِ اسْتَسْقَى مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ فَقُلْنَا اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ فَانْفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَشْرَبَهُمْ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِنْ رِزْقِ اللَّهِ وَلا تَعْثَوْا فِي الأرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
	67 60 4673 2274 17(20) 15(18) 784(988) 44 2:60			And when Moses sought water for his people, We then said, hit the rock with your staff, subsequently twelve springs gushed out therefrom.  Henceforth, each group knew its source of water.  Eat and drink from God's provisions and do not use matter wickedly as corruptors.
				وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَنْ نَصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّائِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ اهْبِطُوا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ مَا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ
	68 61 4674 2275 18(21,22), 16(19,20) 785(989,990) 22 2:61			And when you said, O Moses, we are tired of eating the same food, ask your Lord on our behalf to provide for us from what the land produces such as basil and cucumbers and garlic and lentils and onions.  He said; are you willing to substitute the inferior for that which is good?  Go back to Egypt, you then will find what you are asking for. And they were struck with misery and poverty and suffered a wrath from God, because they rejected God's signs and killed the prophets unjustly. This was because they rebelled and transgressed.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالنَّصَارَى وَالصَّبِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَلِحًا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
	69 62 4675 2276 19(23), 17(21) 786(991) 45 2:62			Indeed the faithful, those who are Judeans, the Nazarenes, the Converts, anyone who believes in God, the Last Day and leads a righteous life, then their reward is kept for them at their Lord, they have nothing to fear nor will they grieve.
				وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
	70 63 4676 2277 46 2:63			And when We took a covenant from you, and we raised the mountain over you, therefore, hold fast to what We have given you and remember what is in it, that you may become god-fearing.
				ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَلَوْلا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَكُنْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَسِرِينَ
	71 64 4677 2278 20(24), 18(22) 787(992) 47 2:64			Subsequently, you reverted after this, if it were not for God's Grace upon you and His Mercy, you would have become losers.
				وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَوْا مِنْكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا قِرَدَةً خَسِئِينَ
	72 65 4678 2279 48 2:65			And when you found out that some of you desecrated the Sabbath, We said to them; be you despicable apes.
				فَجَعَلْنَهَا نَكَالا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَاوَمَوْعِظَةً لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
	73 66 4679 2280 49 2:66			Subsequently, We made this a deterrent punishment for previous as well as future generations and enlightenment for the god-fearing.
				وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةً قَالُوا أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَهِلِينَ
	74 67 4680 2281 21(25,26), 19(23,24)  788(993,994)  23 2:67			And when Moses said to his people; God commands you to slaughter a heifer; they said are you joking? He said; may God protect me from being so ignorant.
				قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا هِيَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لا فَارِضٌ وَلا بِكْرٌ عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ فَافْعَلُوا مَا تُؤْمَرُونَ
	75 68 4681 2282 50 2:68			They said, call upon your Lord on our behalf to explain to us, what kind is she? He said, indeed He says; she is a heifer neither old nor young, somewhere in between. Hence, carry out what you are commanded.
				قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا لَوْنُهَا قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَاءُ فَاقِعٌ لَوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّظِرِينَ
	76 69 4682 2283 51 2:69			They said, call upon your Lord on our behalf to tell us what her color should be.  He said, indeed He says, she is a yellow heifer, her color should be pleasing to the beholders.
				قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَبَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ
	77 70 4683 2284 22(27), 20(25) 789(995) 52 2:70			They said, call upon your Lord on our behalf, what kind is she? Indeed all heifers look the same to us, and God willing we could become guided.
				قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الأرْضَ وَلا تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لا شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالُوا الآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
	78 71 4684 2285 24 2:71			He said, indeed He says, she is a heifer that has not been degraded to plow the land or water the crops, free of any blemish.  They said; now you have brought the truth. They finally slaughtered her; however, they almost failed to do so.
				وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْسًا فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا وَاللَّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
	79 72 4685 2286 23(28), 21(26) 790(996) 53 2:72			You had killed a soul, then you disputed about it.  And God was going to reveal what you were hiding.
				فَقُلْنَا اضْرِبُوهُ بِبَعْضِهَا كَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللَّهُ الْمَوْتَى وَيُرِيكُمْ آيَتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
	80 73 4686 2287 24(29), 22(27) 791(997) 25 2:73			We then said, hit him with part of her, as a result, God resurrected the dead in order to show you His proofs, that you may understand.
				ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الأنْهَرُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
	81 74 4687 2288 25(30,31), 23(28,29) 792(998,999) 54 2:74			Subsequently, your hearts were hardened after all this, like rocks or even much harder.  Indeed streams can gush out of some rocks, others crack and water will gently come out of them, and indeed some of them cringe from the fear of God. And God is never unaware of what you do.
				أَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلمَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
	82 75 4688 2289 26(32), 24(30) 793(1000) 55 2:75			Do you expect them to believe for your sake?  Some of them hear the word of God and change it after fully understanding it, while they know.
				وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ قَالُوا أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَاجُّوكُمْ بِهِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ أَفَلا تَعْقِلُونَ
	83 76 4689 2290 27(33), 25(31) 794(1001) 56 2:76			And when they meet those who are faithful, they say, we believe, and when they are secluded with one another, they say, should you enlighten them with what God has clarified for you, so they can argue with you about your Lord? Have you lost your mind?
				أَوَلا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
	84 77 4690 2291 28(34), 26(32) 795(1002) 57 2:77			Do they not realize that indeed God knows what they conceal and what they declare?
				وَمِنْهُمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ الْكِتَبَ إِلا أَمَانِيَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلا يَظُنُّونَ
	85 78 4691 2292 58 2:78			And amongst them are the laymen who do not know the scripture except for what they are presented with and indeed they only conjecture.
				فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتَبَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا فَوَيْلٌ لَهُمْ مِمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَهُمْ مِمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ
	86 79 4692 2293 29(35), 27(33) 796(1003) 26 2:79			Therefore, woe to those who write the scripture with their hand and say this is from God in order to obtain a cheap material gain.  Woe to them for what they wrote and woe to them for what they gained.
				وَقَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلا أَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَةً قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَهْدًا فَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ عَهْدَهُ أَمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ
	87 80 4693 2294 30(36,37,38), 28(34,35,36) 797(1004,1005,1006) 59 2:80			And they said, hellfire will not touch us except for a few days. Say, have you received a promise from God? Remember God does not break His promise, or are you saying about God what you do not know?
				بَلَى مَنْ كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةً وَأَحَطَتْ بِهِ خَطِيئَتُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
	88 81 4694 2295 60 2:81			Yes indeed, those who earned evil and are surrounded by their wrongs are subsequently the dwellers of Hell wherein they will abide forever.
				وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّلِحَاتِ أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
	89 82 4695 2296 61 2:82			As for the faithful who lead a righteous life, they are the dwellers of paradise; they will abide therein forever.
				وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَ بَنِي إِسْرَئِيلَ لا تَعْبُدُونَ إِلا اللَّهَ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَمَى وَالْمَسَكِينِ وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَوةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ إِلا قَلِيلا مِنْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
	90 83 4696 2297 31(39), 29(37) 798(1007) 27 2:83			And We took a covenant from the Children of Israel, that you shall not worship except God, and be good to your parents and the relatives and the fatherless and the needy and speak to the people amicably, and observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity, but you turned away, except for a few of you, and you became objectors.
				وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَكُمْ لا تَسْفِكُونَ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَلا تُخْرِجُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ دِيَرِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ
	91 84 4697 2298 62 2:84			And when we took a covenant from you that you shall not shed each other's blood and evict each other from your homes, you then agreed and testified.
				ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ هَؤُلاءِ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتُخْرِجُونَ فَرِيقًا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ  دِيَرِهِمْ تَظَهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالإثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَنِ وَإِنْ يَأْتُوكُمْ أُسَرَى تُفَدُوهُمْ وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِخْرَاجُهُمْ أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَبِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ إِلا خِزْيٌ فِي الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَمَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
	92 85 4698 2299 32(40), 30(38) 799(1008) 63 2:85			However, here you are killing each other and evicting a group amongst you from their homes treating them sinfully and with animosity.  And if you took them captive, you demanded ransom from them, and it was forbidden for you to evict them.  Do you believe in one part of the scripture while rejecting another part? Then, what is the requital for the one amongst you who does this, other than humiliation in this worldly life? And on the Day of Resurrection, they will face the ultimate suffering. And God is not unaware of anything you do.
				أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الْحَيَوةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالآخِرَةِ فَلا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ
	93 86 4699 2300 64 2:86			These are the ones who preferred this worldly life to the Hereafter. Consequently, the suffering will not be reduced for them, nor will they be helped.
				وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَبَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِالرُّسُلِ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَتِ وَأَيَّدْنَهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لا تَهْوَى أَنْفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقًا كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقًا تَقْتُلُونَ
	94 87 4700 2301 65 2:87			And surely We gave Moses the scripture and sent messengers after him and We gave Jesus, son of Mary, proofs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit.  Is it always your way that every time a messenger came to you with what you did not desire, you turned arrogant, then you rejected some and you murdered some?
				وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَقَلِيلا مَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
	95 88 4701 2302 33(41), 31(39) 800(1009) 66 2:88			And they said our minds are made up.  On the contrary it is God who has put a curse upon them because of their lack of faith, consequently only a few will attain faith.
				وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ كِتَبٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِمَا مَعَهُمْ وَكَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مَا عَرَفُوا كَفَرُوا بِهِ فَلَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَفِرِينَ
	96 89 4702 2303 34(42,43), 32(40,41) 801(1010,1011) 28 2:89			And when a scripture was revealed to them from God, confirming what they already upheld; and in fact, they were prophesizing it to the unfaithful, however, when it did come and they recognized it, they rejected it. Consequently, God's curse is upon the unfaithful.
				بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بَغْيًا أَنْ يُنَزِّلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ فَبَاءُو بِغَضَبٍ عَلَى غَضَبٍ وَلِلْكَفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ

				وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا نُؤْمِنُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا مَعَهُمْ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللَّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
	98 91 4704 2305 36(46,47), 34(44,45) 803(1014,1015) 68 2:91			And when they were told; believe in what God has revealed, they said, we believe only in what was revealed to us and reject what is revealed afterwards, despite the fact that it is the truth, confirming what they already uphold. Say, then why did you murder God's prophets in the past if you were faithful?
				وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مُوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَتِ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنْتُمْ ظَلِمُونَ
	99 92 4705 2306 69 2:92			And when Moses came to you with proofs, you preferred the calf in his absence and you were transgressors.
				وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاسْمَعُوا قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَأُشْرِبُوا فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْعِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِهِ إِيمَنُكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
	100 93 4706 2307 70 2:93			And when We took a covenant from you and raised the mountain above you, uphold what is revealed to you firmly, and listen. They said we hear but disobey, and the calf captivated their minds due to their lack of faith. Say, how terrible is what your belief commands you, if you are believers.
				قُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَالِصَةً مِنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
	101 94 4707 2308 37(48), 35(46) 804(1016) 71 2:94			Say, if the abode of the Hereafter is reserved for you at God to the exclusion of all other people, then you should long for death if you are honest.
				وَلَنْ يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدًا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّلِمِينَ
	102 95 4708 2309 38(49), 36(47) 805(1017) 72 2:95			And for sure they will never long for it, because of what they have committed in the past. And God has full knowledge of the transgressors.
				وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَوةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُعَمَّرَ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
	103 96 4709 2310 39(50), 37(48) 806(1018) 73 2:96			And you will find that they are indeed the greediest people for life and even more than those who set up partners for god.  Every one of them would like to live a thousand years, but he cannot avoid the suffering even if he lives that long. And God is All Seer of what they do.
				قُلْ مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُ نَزَّلَهُ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
	104 97 4710 2311 40(51), 38(49) 807(1019) 29 2:97			Say, whoever is an enemy of Gabriel, should realize that indeed he revealed this into your heart by God's leave. Confirming what you already uphold; and it is guidance as well as good news for the faithful.
				مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِلَّهِ وَمَلائِكَتِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِلْكَفِرِينَ

				وَلَقَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ آيَتٍ بَيِّنَتٍ وَمَا يَكْفُرُ بِهَا إِلا الْفَسِقُونَ
	106 99 4712 2313 75 2:99			And indeed We revealed to you proven Signs, and no one disbelieves in them except the evil-doers.
				أَوَكُلَّمَا عَهَدُوا عَهْدًا نَبَذَهُ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ
	107 100 4713 2314 76 2:100			Is it not always the case that every time they make a promise, some of them break it? Indeed, most of them have no faith.
				وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ كِتَبَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ
	108 101 4714 2315 42(54,55), 40(52,53) 809(1022,1023)  30 2:101			And whenever a messenger went to them from God confirming what they already upheld, some of those who had received the scripture ignored the book of God, and threw it behind their backs; they behaved as though they did not know.
				وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَنَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَنُ وَلَكِنَّ الشَّيَطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَرُوتَ وَمَرُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلا تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُمْ بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
	109 102 4715 2316 43(56), 41(54) 810(1024) 77 2:102			And they followed what the devils narrated about the kingdom of Solomon. However, Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved by teaching people magic and what was revealed to the two angels of Babylon, Haroot and Maroot, however, they did not teach anyone except after explaining to them that we are indeed a test and do not disbelieve. Consequently they learned from the two of them regarding what caused separation between a man and his wife. And they could not hurt anyone except by God's leave. And they learnt what was harmful to them and did not benefit them. They indeed learnt what had absolutely no value in the Hereafter and miserable indeed is what they sold their souls for, if they only knew.
				وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَمَثُوبَةٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
	110 103 4716 2317 44(57), 42(55) 811(1025) 31 2:103			And if they believe and become god-fearing, indeed that would be a good reward from God, if they only knew.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَقُولُوا رَعِنَا وَقُولُوا انْظُرْنَا وَاسْمَعُوا وَلِلْكَفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	111 104 4717 2318 78 2:104			O you who have attained faith; do not say be our shepherd, instead you should say, watch over us; and listen. And reserved for the unfaithful is a painful suffering.
				مَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَبِ وَلا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
	112 105 4718 2319 45(58,59), 43(56,57) 812(1026,1027) 79 2:105			Those who rejected faith from the people of the scripture as well as those who set up partners for god do not like to see anything good revealed to you from your Lord. However, God specifically bestows His mercy upon whomever He wills. And God is possessor of infinite grace.
				مَا نَنْسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنْسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْهَا أَوْ مِثْلِهَا أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
	113 106 4719 2320 46(60), 44(58)  813(1028)  80 2:106			We do not abrogate a proof or cause it to be forgotten, until We bring a better one or a similar one.  Do you not know that God is All Powerful over all things?
				أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلا نَصِير
	114 107 4720 2321 47(61,62), 45(59,60) 814(1029,1030) 32 2:107			Do you not know that indeed to God belongs the kingship of the vacua and matter; and that you have no one besides God as an ally and a helper?
				أَمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَسْأَلُوا رَسُولَكُمْ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَى مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمَنْ يَتَبَدَّلِ الْكُفْرَ بِالإيمَانِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ
	115 108 4721 2322 81 2:108			Do you intend to question your messenger like Moses was questioned in the past?  Whoever substitutes belief with disbelief has indeed strayed off the even path.
				وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَبِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِيمَنِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًا مِنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
	116 109 4722 2323 48(63,64), 46(61,62) 815(1031,1032) 33 2:109			Many of the followers of scripture like to see you revert to disbelief after you have believed, out of sheer jealousy in their souls, even after the truth became evident to them. Therefore, you shall pardon them and leave them alone until God issues His command. Indeed God is All Powerful over all things.
				وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَوةَ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لأنْفُسِكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
	117 110 4723 2324 49(65,66), 47(63,64) 816(1033,1034) 82 2:110			And you shall observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity.  And whatever good you send forth on behalf of your souls, you will find it at God.  Indeed God is All-Seeing of whatever you do.
				وَقَالُوا لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلا مَنْ كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَنَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
	118 111 4724 2325 83 2:111			And they said no one will enter paradise except those who are Judean or Nazarene.  This is their wishful thinking.  Say, bring your proof if you are truthful.
				بَلَى مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
	119 112 4725 2326 50(67), 48(65) 817(1035) 84 2:112			Yes indeed, whoever makes peace with God while being righteous, then his reward is at his Lord. These have no fear nor will they grieve.
				وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ النَّصَارَى عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى لَيْسَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ الْكِتَبَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
	120 113 4726 2327 51(68), 49(66) 818(1036) 34 2:113			And the Judeans said that Nazarenes have no basis, while the Nazarenes said Judeans have no basis, in spite of the fact that they read the scripture.  Their utterance is like the utterance of those who have no knowledge.  Subsequently, God will judge among them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their disputes.
				وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ مَنَعَ مَسَجِدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ وَسَعَى فِي خَرَابِهَا أُولَئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوهَا إِلا خَائِفِينَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
	121 114 4727 2328 52(69), 50(67) 819(1037) 85 2:114			And who is more unjust than the one who prohibits God's mosques wherein His name is commemorated, and even tries to destroy them?  They will never enter therein except fearfully.  They have deserved humiliation in this world and in the Hereafter reserved for them is a tremendous suffering.
				وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
	122 115 4728 2329 53(70,71,72), 51(68,69,70) 820(1038,1039,1040) 86 2:115			And to God belongs the east and the west, therefore wherever you turn you will find God's face.  Indeed God is Expander, All Knowledgeable.
				وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَنَهُ بَلْ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ كُلٌّ لَهُ قَنِتُونَ
	123 116 4729 2330 54(73), 52(71) 821(1041)  87 2:116			And they said that God has begotten a son.  Be He glorified. The fact is that to Him belongs everything in the vacua and matter. Everything is subservient to Him.
				بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
	124 117 4730 2331 88 2:117			Initiator of the vacua and matter, and when He decrees a command, He indeed says to it; "Be" and so it is.
				وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلا يُكَلِّمُنَا اللَّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ تَشَبَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا الآيَتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
	125 118 4731 2332 55(74), 53(72) 822(1042) 89 2:118			And those without knowledge say, if only God spoke to us or gave us a sign; such is the utterance of those before them, because their thoughts are similar.  We only clarify our signs for those who have attained certainty.
				إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلا تُسْأَلُ عَنْ أَصْحَبِ الْجَحِيمِ
	126 119 4732 2333 90 2:119			Indeed We have sent you truthfully as a bearer of good news as well as a warner; and you will not be questioned regarding the dwellers of the Inferno.
				وَلَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلا النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلا نَصِيرٍ
	127 120 4733 2334 56(75,76), 54(73,74) 823(1043,1044) 91 2:120			And the Judeans and the Nazarenes will not be happy with you unless you follow their nation.  Say, indeed  God's guidance is the only guidance.  And if you follow their wishes after what has come to you from knowledge, God will never be your ally or supporter.
				الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَهُمُ الْكِتَبَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ أُولَئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهِ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَسِرُونَ
	128 121 4734 2335 92 2:121			Those who are given the scripture and they recite it as it should truly be recited, they believe in it. As for those who disbelieve in it; then they are the real losers.
				يَا بَنِي إِسْرَئِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَلَمِينَ
	129 122 4735 2336 93 2:122			O Children of Israel remember My blessings I bestowed upon you and indeed I gave you more than anyone in the world.
				وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا لا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلا تَنْفَعُهَا شَفَعَةٌ وَلا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ
	130 123 4736 2337 94 2:123			And fear the day when no soul can help another soul in the least and no ransom will be accepted from her, and no intercession will benefit her and no one will be helped.
				وَإِذِ ابْتَلَى إِبْرَهِۦمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي قَالَ لا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّلِمِينَ
	131 124 4737 2338 95 2:124			And when Abram was tested by his Lord through words which he subsequently was able to fulfill, He said, indeed I am appointing you a leader of the people; he said and what about my descendants?  He said, My promise does not extend to the transgressors.
				وَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَأَمْنًا وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَهِۦمَ مُصَلًّى وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَعِيلَ أَنْ طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ
	132 125 4738 2339 96 2:125			And We made the House a sanctuary for the people as well as a secure place, and you shall make the station of Abram a beacon for the contact prayer and We took a covenant from Abram and Ishmael, that the two of you shall cleanse My House for the visitors, and the residents and those who frequently bow down and prostrate.
				وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَتِ مَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ قَالَ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُ قَلِيلا ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
	133 126 4739 2340 57(77), 55(75)  824(1045) 97 2:126			And Abram said, Lord, make this town secure and provide for its inhabitants all kinds of fruits for those who believe in God and the Last Day.  He said and as for the unfaithful, I provide for him a little, thereafter, I see no option for him but the suffering of Hell, and a miserable abode.
				وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَهِۦمَ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيم
	134 127 4740 2341 35 2:127			And when Abram was raising the foundation of the House along with Ishmael, they said, our Lord, accept this from us, indeed You are The All Hearing, The All Knowing.
				رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
	135 128 4741 2342 98 2:128			Our Lord, make us at peace with You and from our descendants make a community who is at peace with You, and show us our rituals, and accept our repentance. Indeed You are The Accepter of Repentance, The All Merciful.
				رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولا مِنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
	136 129 4742 2343 99 2:129			Our Lord, raise amongst them a messenger from them to recite for them Your Signs and teach them the scripture and wisdom and cleanse them. Indeed You are The Almighty, The All Wise.
				وَمَنْ يَرْغَبُ عَنْ مِلَّةِ إِبْرَهِۦمَ إِلا مَنْ سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّلِحِينَ
	137 130 4743 2344 100 2:130			And who would forsake the Nation of Abram, except the one who has fooled himself. And indeed We have chosen him in this world and surely in the Hereafter, he will be with the righteous.
				إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ أَسْلِمْ قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ لِرَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ
	138 131 4744 2345 36 2:131			When his Lord told him; make peace, he said, I am at peace with the Lord of the multiverse.
				وَوَصَّى بِهَا إِبْرَهِۦمَ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
	139 132 4745 2346 58(78), 56(76) 825(1046) 101 2:132			And thus was Abram's will to his sons and so was that of Jacob, O my sons, indeed God has chosen the religion for you, hence, do not die except as peace offerors.
				أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ إِلَهَكَ وَإِلَهَ آبَائِكَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ إِلَهًا وَحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ
	140 133 4746 2347 102 2:133			If you could only witness when death was overwhelming Jacob, that is when he asked his sons; what will you worship after me? They said, we worship your god, god of your fathers, Abram, Ishmael and Isaac, the One god and to Him we offer peace.
				تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُمْ مَا كَسَبْتُمْ وَلا تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
	141 134 4747 2348 103 2:134			Such was a community in the past.  They are responsible for what they earned and you are responsible for what you earn. And you will not be questioned for what they did.
				وَقَالُوا كُونُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى تَهْتَدُوا قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
	142 135 4748 2349 104 2:135			And they said, you should become Judean or Nazarene in order to be guided.  Say, on the contrary, it is the Nation of Abram to be followed, the monotheist; he was never one of those who set up partners for god.
				قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَى إِبْرَهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَمَا أُوتِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ
	143 136 4749 2350 59(79), 57(77) 826(1047) 105 2:136			Say, we believe in God and what is revealed to us and what was revealed to Abram, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the Prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction amongst them, and to Him we offer peace.
				فَإِنْ آمَنُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوْا وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا هُمْ فِي شِقَاقٍ فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
	144 137 4750 2351 60(80), 58(78) 827(1048) 37 2:137			Henceforth, if they believe as you do, then they are guided, and if they turn away, then they are surely in opposition.  God will be sufficient for you against them.  And He is the All Hearing, The All Knowing.
				صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً وَنَحْنُ لَهُ عَبِدُونَ

				قُلْ أَتُحَاجُّونَنَا فِي اللَّهِ وَهُوَ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ وَلَنَا أَعْمَلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَلُكُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُخْلِصُونَ
	146 139 4752 2353 62(83), 60(81) 829(1051) 38 2:139			Say, do you argue with us about God, knowing that He is our Lord and your Lord and to us is our works and to you is your works, and we are purely His?
				أَمْ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبْرَهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأسْبَاطَ كَانُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى قُلْ أَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ أَمِ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَتَمَ شَهَدَةً عِنْدَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
	147 140 4753 2354 63(84,85,86), 61(82,83,84) 830(1052,1053,1054) 107 2:140			Are you saying that indeed Abram, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, as well as the tribes were Judean or Nazarene? Say, do you know better than God?  And who is more unjust than the one who commits a cover up of a testimony from God? And God is not unaware of what you do.
				تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُمْ مَا كَسَبْتُمْ وَلا تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
	148 141 4754 2355 108 2:141			Such was a community in the past.  They are responsible for what they earned and you are responsible for what you earn.  And you will not be questioned for what they did.
				سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلاهُمْ عَنْ قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُوا عَلَيْهَا قُلْ لِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
	149 142 4755 2356 64(87), 62(85) 831(1055) 109 2:142			The fools among people will soon say, what caused them to change the direction of their Qibla that they used to have? Say, to God belongs the east and the west. He guides whomever He wills to the straight path.
				وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنْتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلا لِنَعْلَمَ مَنْ يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّنْ يَنْقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلا عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَنَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ
	150 143 4756 2357 65(88,89,90), 63(86,87,88) 832(1056,1057,1058) 110 2:143			And We thus made you an impartial community that you may serve as witnesses among people, and the messenger will be a witness among you.  And We did not change the Qibla that you already had except to recognize those who follow the messenger and those who turn back on their heels.  And indeed this was a great test, except for those whom God has guided. God does not put your faith to waste.  Indeed God is All Compassionate, All Merciful towards the people.
				قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُمَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

Hence, We turned you toward the Qibla that pleases you.  Therefore, turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque.  And wherever you are, turn your faces toward it. And indeed those who are given the scripture know for sure that this is the truth from their Lord.  And God is not unaware of what they do.
				وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَا تَبِعُوا قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنْتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُمْ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذًا لَمِنَ الظَّلِمِينَ
	152 145 4758 2359 112 2:145			And If you provide for those who have been given the scripture all kinds of proofs, they would not follow your Qibla. And nor should you follow their Qibla.  And they do not even follow each other's Qibla.  And if you ever follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, for sure you will be among the transgressors.
				الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَهُمُ الْكِتَبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
	153 146 4759 2360 113 2:146			Those whom We have endowed with the scripture recognize it as they recognize their own sons.  However, a group of them surely conceal the truth while they know.
				الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ
	154 147 4760 2361 114 2:147			This is the truth from your Lord; therefore, do not be among the doubters.
				وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَتِ أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللَّهُ جَمِيعًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
	155 148 4761 2362 67(92,93), 65(90,91) 834(1060,1061) 115 2:148			And for everyone there is a direction that he follows. Hence race towards righteousness.  Wherever you are, God will gather you all.  Indeed God is All Powerful over all things.
				وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِنَّهُ لَلْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
	156 149 4762 2363 68(94), 66(92) 835(1062) 39 2:149			And wherever you go and wherever you are, turn your faces toward the Sacred Mosque.  And surely this is the absolute truth from your Lord. And God is not unaware of what you do.
				وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُمَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ لِئَلا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ حُجَّةٌ إِلا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ فَلا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِي وَلأتِمَّ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
	157 150 4763 2364 116 2:150			And wherever you go turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque and wherever you are, all of you shall turn your faces toward it.  This way the people have no argument with you except those among them who are transgressors.  Therefore, do not fear them and fear Me and I will complete My blessings upon you that you may be guided.
				كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولا مِنْكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمْ مَا لَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْلَمُونَ
	158 151 4764 2365 40 2:151			We thus sent to you a messenger from amongst yourselves who recites to you our signs and cleanses you and teaches you the scripture and wisdom, and teaches you what you never knew.
				فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلا تَكْفُرُونِ
	159 152 4765 2366 117 2:152			Therefore, you shall remember Me as I remember you, and be grateful to Me and do not be unappreciative.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلوةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّبِرِينَ
	160 153 4766 2367 69(95), 67(93) 836(1063) 118 2:153			O you who have attained faith, you shall seek help for patience and the contact prayer.  Surely, God is with those who are patient.
				وَلا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَكِنْ لا تَشْعُرُونَ
	161 154 4767 2368 70(96), 68(94) 837(1064) 119 2:154			And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of God they are dead. On the contrary, they are alive but you do not know.
				وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الأمْوَالِ وَالأنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّبِرِينَ
	162 155 4768 2369 120 2:155			And surely We test you through things such as fear, hunger, dwindling of wealth, and decline of health and scarcity of fruits, and give glad tidings to those who persevere.
				الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَبَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَجِعُونَ
	163 156 4769 2370 71(97), 69(95) 838(1065) 121 2:156			These are the ones who when a calamity strikes them, say we indeed belong to God and we surely go back to Him.
				أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ
	164 157 4770 2371 41 2:157			They have their Lord's support and mercy. These are the guided ones.
				إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
	165 158 4771 2372 72(98,99), 70(96,97) 839(1066,1067) 122 2:158			Indeed Safa and Marwah are among God's portents. Therefore, whoever observes Haj of the House or observes Omrah, is not to be blamed for visiting these two places.  And whoever performs a good thing beyond the call of duty, then, God is Appreciative, All Knowing.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَتِ وَالْهُدَى مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَبِ أُولَئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللعِنُونَ
	166 159 4772 2373 73(100), 71(98) 840(1068) 123 2:159			Indeed those who conceal what We have revealed from proofs and guidance, after We have clarified it for the people in the scripture, have deserved God's curse as well as the curse of the cursers.
				إِلا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَأَصْلَحُوا وَبَيَّنُوا فَأُولَئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنَا التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
	167 160 4773 2374 124 2:160			Exempted are those who repent and become righteous and proclaim.  Consequently, I accept their repentance.  And I am The Accepter of Repentance, The All Merciful.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
	168 161 4774 2375 74(101), 72(99) 841(1069) 125 2:161			Surely those who had no faith and died as unfaithful, for them there is God's curse and that of the angels as well as all the people.
				خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا لا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلا هُمْ يُنْظَرُونَ
	169 162 4775 2376 126 2:162			They abide in it forever.  Suffering will never be reduced for them nor will they ever have a respite.
				وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَحِدٌ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ
	170 163 4776 2377 42 2:163			And your god is one god. There is no god except He, The All Gracious, The All Merciful.
				إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَاخْتِلفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنْفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأرْضِ لآيَتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
	171 164 4777 2378 75(102), 73(100) 842(1070) 127 2:164			Indeed in the creation of the vacua and matter and the variation of the night and the day and the ship floating in the sea to benefit the people, and what God sends down in the form of water from the sky to revive the land after it has died in order to spread in it all kinds of creatures and the manipulation of the winds and the clouds subdued between the sky and the land, are proofs for the people who think.
				وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْدَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ

As for the faithful, their ultimate love is reserved for God. And if only the transgressors could see themselves as they face the suffering, then they realize that indeed the power belongs to God exclusively and indeed God possesses the ultimate suffering.
				إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأسْبَابُ
	173 166 4779 2380 129 2:166			This is when the followers hate their leaders as they realize the inevitability of the suffering, and all relations between them will be severed.
				وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا مِنَّا كَذَلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ اللَّهُ أَعْمَلَهُمْ حَسَرَتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا هُمْ بِخَرِجِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ
	174 167 4780 2381 77(108), 75(106) 844(1076) 43 2:167			The followers said, if we had another chance we would have hated you as you hated us.  God thus shows them their works, full of remorse for them.  And they are never to exit Hell.
				يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوا مِمَّا فِي الأرْضِ حَللا طَيِّبًا وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَتِ الشَّيْطَنِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ
	175 168 4781 2382 130 2:168			O you people, eat from what is lawful and clean on the land and do not follow the path of Satan. Surely he is your most manifest enemy.
				إِنَّمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالسُّوءِ وَالْفَحْشَاءِ وَأَنْ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ

				وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلا يَهْتَدُونَ
	177 170 4783 2384 79(110), 77(108) 846(1078)  132 2:170			And when they are told to follow what God has revealed, they say, on the contrary we follow what we found our forefathers did. What if their forefathers did not understand a thing nor were they guided?
				وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لا يَسْمَعُ إِلا دُعَاءً وَنِدَاءً صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ
	178 171 4784 2385 133 2:171			And the example of the unfaithful is like the one who shouts what he cannot comprehend, nothing but a calling or a simple sound.  Deaf, dumb and blind, consequently they do not understand.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَتِ مَا رَزَقْنَكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِلَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

				إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلا عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	180 173 4786 2387 81(112,113), 79(110,111) 848(1080,1081) 44 2:173			Indeed, nothing is prohibited for you except, the dead, the blood, the meat of the pig and what has been dedicated to other than God.  However, if any one is faced with no option while having no malice and no intention of transgression, then he commits no sin.  Surely, God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْكِتَبِ وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا أُولَئِكَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ إِلا النَّارَ وَلا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَمَةِ وَلا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	181 174 4787 2388 82(114,115), 80(112,113) 849(1082,1083) 135 2:174			Surely those who conceal what God has revealed of the scripture and earn a cheap material gain, they will not eat anything except a belly-full of fire and God will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, and will not cleanse them and awaiting them is a painful suffering.
				أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّللَةَ بِالْهُدَى وَالْعَذَابَ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ فَمَا أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ
	182 175 4788 2389 136 2:175			These are the ones who have traded guidance for straying and forgiveness for suffering.  Then how are they going to endure Hell?
				ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ نَزَّلَ الْكِتَبَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِي الْكِتَبِ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ
	183 176 4789 2390 83(116), 81(114) 850(1084) 137 2:176			This is because God has surely revealed the scripture truthfully.  And indeed those who dispute the scripture have surely isolated themselves to the farthest point.
				لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَالْمَلائِكَةِ وَالْكِتَبِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَمَى وَالْمَسَكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلوةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَوةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَهَدُوا وَالصَّبِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ
	184 177 4790 2391 84(117), 82(115) 851(1085) 138 2:177			Righteousness is not to turn your faces toward the east or the west, on the contrary, righteous are those who believe in God and the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets, and they give their money, in spite of loving it, to the relatives, the fatherless, the poor, the refugees, the beggars, and to free the slaves, and they observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity, and they are faithful to their promise once they make a promise, and they steadfastly persevere in the face of adversity and hardship and during war. These are the truthful ones, and these are the god-fearing ones.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِصَاصُ فِي الْقَتْلَى الْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالأنْثَى بِالأنْثَى فَمَنْ عُفِيَ لَهُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ شَيْءٌ فَاتِّبَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَأَدَاءٌ إِلَيْهِ بِإِحْسَنٍ ذَلِكَ تَخْفِيفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	185 178 4791 2392 139 2:178			O you who have attained faith; equivalence is decreed for you in the case of murder, the free for the free, the servant for the servant, and the female for the female. Therefore, if someone is pardoned by brethren of the victim, this is following righteousness and he should be compensated with goodness.  This is a reduction from your Lord and a mercy.  Therefore, whoever transgresses after this, awaiting him is a painful suffering.
				وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَوةٌ يَا أُولِي الألْبَبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
	186 179 4792 2392 45 2:179			And in equivalence there is life for you, O you who possess knowledge that you may become righteous.
				كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِنْ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَلِدَيْنِ وَالأقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ
	187 180 4793 2394 140 2:180			It is decreed for you that when death approaches you, you shall leave a good will for the parents and the relatives equitably.  This is incumbent upon the righteous.
				فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
	188 181 4794 2395 85(118), 83(116) 852(1086) 46 2:181			Therefore, whoever changes it after he has heard it, then indeed the sin will be upon the one who changed it. Surely, God is All Hearing, All Knowing.
				فَمَنْ خَافَ مِنْ مُوصٍ جَنَفًا أَوْ إِثْمًا فَأَصْلَحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	189 182 4795 2396 86(119), 84(117) 853(1087) 141 2:182			However, if someone fears that the one who made the will has committed a bias or a sin, and he reconciles them, he commits no sin. Indeed, God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
	190 183 4796 2397 142 2:183			O you who have attained faith; fasting is decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you that you may become righteous.
				أَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَتٍ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ وَأَنْ تَصُومُوا خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	191 184 4797 2398 143 2:184			Specific days.  However, if one of you is ill or on a trip, the same number of days shall be substituted later.  And it is incumbent upon those who can afford it that they should repay by feeding the poor.  Therefore, whoever does any good beyond the call of duty is good for him.  And fasting is best for you if you only knew.
				شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
	192 185 4798 2399 87(120,121), 85(118,119) 854(1088,1089) 144 2:185			The month of Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, as guidance for the people and proofs of guidance and the statute book.  Therefore, whoever witnesses this month shall fast therein. And whoever is ill or on a trip, shall substitute the same number of days later.  God wants you to be comfortable, He does not wish you hardship while you are completing this duty and you shall glorify God for guiding you that you may be appreciative.
				وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
	193 186 4799 2400 145 2:186			And when My servants ask you about Me, I am always near.  I respond to the call of the caller when he calls.  Therefore, they shall respond to Me and have faith in Me that they may find guidance.
				أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَائِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنْكُمْ فَالآنَ بَشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَلا تُبَشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلا تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
	194 187 4800 2401 88(122,123,124,125), 86(120,121,122,123) 855(1090,1091,1092,1093) 146 2:187			Permitted for you during the nights of fasting is intercourse with your wives. They are your confidants and you are their confidants. God knew that you used to betray your souls; hence He has accepted your repentance and has forgiven you.  From now on you can have intercourse with them and enjoy what God has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread can be distinguished from the black thread at dawn.  Then end your fasting at night. And do not have intercourse with them if you retreat to the mosques.  These are God's limits; do not approach them.  God thus clarifies His proofs for the people that they may become god-fearing.
				وَلا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَلَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَطِلِ وَتُدْلُوا بِهَا إِلَى الْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُوا فَرِيقًا مِنْ أَمْوَلِ النَّاسِ بِالإثْمِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	195 188 4801 2402 147 2:188			And do not consume each other's money illicitly and do not give it to the officials in order to consume some people's money sinfully while you know.
				يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَجِّ وَلَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِأَنْ تَأْتُوا الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهَا وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى وَأْتُوا الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَبِهَا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
	196 189 4802 2403 89(126), 87(124) 856(1094) 148 2:189			They ask you about the waxing crescents. Say they are timing devices for the people as well as times for Haj.  It is not righteous to enter homes from the back doors, on the contrary, righteous are those who are god-fearing and enter the homes from their front doors. And you shall fear God that you may succeed.
				وَقَتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ يُقَتِلُونَكُمْ وَلا تَعْتَدُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
	197 190 4803 2404 90(127,128), 88(125,126) 857(1095,1096) 149 2:190			And fight in the cause of God against those who fight against you and do not transgress.  Surely, God does not love the transgressors.
				وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلا تُقَتِلُوهُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّى يُقَتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ فَإِنْ قَتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ كَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَفِرِينَ
	198 191 4804 2405 47 2:191			And kill them where you overcome them and evict them from where they evicted you. And indeed oppression is worse than murder.  And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they fight you therein.  If they attack you, then you may kill them. Such is the requital for the unfaithful.
				فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	199 192 4805 2406 91(129), 89(127) 858(1097) 150 2:192			Once they refrain, then surely God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				وَقَتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَلا عُدْوانَ إِلا عَلَى الظَّلِمِينَ
	200 193 4806 2407 92(130), 90(128) 859(1098) 48 2:193			And fight them until oppression is defeated and the religion is devoted to God.  Once they refrain, then no hostility shall be offered except against the transgressors.
				الشَّهْرُ الْحَرَامُ بِالشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْحُرُمَتُ قِصَاصٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
	201 194 4807 2408 93(131,132), 91(129,130) 860(1099,1100) 151 2:194			Even during the sacred months, equivalence is observed. However, if anyone transgresses against you, an equivalent response shall be given.  And fear God and know that God is with the god-fearing.
				وَأَنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
	202 195 4808 2409 94(133,134), 92(131,132) 861(1101,1102) 152 2:195			And spend in the cause of God, however, do not throw yourself into destruction with your own hands, and spread goodness.  Surely, God loves the do-gooders.
				وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ وَلا تَحْلِقُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَا أَمِنْتُمْ فَمَنْ تَمَتَّعَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي الْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُ حَاضِرِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
	203 196 4809 2410 95(135,136,137), 93(133,134,135) 862(1103,1104,1105) 153 2:196			And complete the Haj and Omrah for God.  If you are prevented, you shall make an offering from whatever is possible.  And do not cut your hair until the offering has reached its destination.  As for the ill or the one with a head wound in your midst, he shall expiate by fasting or a charity or some other form of worship.  Once you are allowed safe passage, then the one who delves into self-indulgence in Omrah and Haj, shall offer what is possible.  If one cannot find anything, then three days of fasting during the Haj and seven days when he gets back to complete it as ten days, for the one who does not reside at the Sacred Mosque. And fear God and know that indeed God possesses the ultimate suffering.
				الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَتٌ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلا رَفَثَ وَلا فُسُوقَ وَلا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الألْبَبِ
	204 197 4810 2411 96(138), 94(136) 863(1106) 49 2:197			Haj is observed during the known months.  As for the one who observes Haj during these months, he shall refrain from intercourse, immorality and argument during the Haj.  Whatever good you do, God knows all about it.  And as you prepare, know that the best preparation is righteousness.  And you shall be reverent, O you who possess vision.
				لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَإِذَا أَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفَتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدَاكُمْ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الضَّالِّينَ
	205 198 4811 2412 97(139), 95(137) 864(1107) 154 2:198			You commit no error by seeking a bounty from your Lord.  When you file from Arafat, you shall commemorate God at the Sacred Place of Congregation.  You shall commemorate Him just like He guided you.  And you were one of those who had gone astray before this.
				ثُمَّ أَفِيضُوا مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	206 199 4812 2413 98(140,141), 96(138,139) 865(1108,1109) 50 2:199			Then you shall file with the rest of the people and ask forgiveness from God.  Surely God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمْ مَنَسِكَكُمْ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ آبَاءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْرًا فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاقٍ
	207 200 4813 2414 99(142), 97(140) 866(1110) 155 2:200			Then, when you fulfill your obligations of worship, you shall continue to remember God as you remember your own parents or even more.  Then there are people who say, our Lord give us in this world and will have nothing in the Hereafter.
				وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
	208 201 4814 2415 156 2:201			And there are those who say, our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and spare us the suffering of Hell.
				أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
	209 202 4815 2416 100(143), 98(141) 867(1111) 157 2:202			These will have a share of what they earned. God is quick in reckoning.
				وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَتٍ فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
	210 203 4816 2417 101(144,145), 99(142,143) 868(1112,1113) 158 2:203			And commemorate God's name for a few days.  However, if someone speeds it up in two days, he commits no sin and if one takes longer, he commits no sin as long as he fears god.  And you shall fear God and know that indeed you will be gathered before Him.
				وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ
	211 204 4817 2418 102(146), 100(144) 869(1114) 159 2:204			And amongst the people is the one who impresses you with his words in this worldly life, and God witnesses what is in his heart, and he is the most manifest enemy.
				وَإِذَا تَوَلَّى سَعَى فِي الأرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ وَاللَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ
	212 205 4818 2419 103(147), 101(145) 870(1115) 160 2:205			And once he goes away, he roams the land corrupting, destroying the crops as well as people. And God does not love corruption.
				وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالإثْمِ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ

				كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَبَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَتُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ فَهَدَى اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ

Then God appointed prophets, as bearers of good news as well as warners and revealed with them the scripture truthfully in order to judge among people regarding their disputes.  No one disputed it except those who received it and after they were presented with clear proofs, because of jealousy on their part.  Consequently, God guides those who believe in the truth, although it is disputed by others with His permission.  And God guides whomever He wills to the straight path.
				أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُمْ مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مَسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللَّهِ أَلا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ

				يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَ قُلْ مَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأقْرَبِينَ وَالْيَتَمَى وَالْمَسَكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ

				كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ

				يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيهِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيهِ كَبِيرٌ وَصَدٌّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلا يَزَالُونَ يُقَتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَعُوا وَمَنْ يَرْتَدِدْ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِينِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَأُولَئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَلُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَأُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ

However, diverting from God's path, disbelief in Him and in the Sacred Mosque and evicting its people therefrom is even a greater offense as far as God is concerned. And oppression is worse than murder.  And they would fight you continuously to divert you from your religion, if they could.  Therefore, those of you who abandon their religion, then die as unfaithful, have nullified their works in this world as well as in the Hereafter.  And they are the dwellers of Hell, and they abide therein forever.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا وَجَهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أُولَئِكَ يَرْجُونَ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

				يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنْ نَفْعِهِمَا وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ

However, their sin is greater than their benefit.  Furthermore, they ask you what they can offer, say, forgiveness.  God thus clarifies His signs for you that you may think -
				فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْيَتَمَى قُلْ إِصْلاحٌ لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ وَإِنْ تُخَالِطُوهُمْ فَإِخْوَنُكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لأعْنَتَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Say, it is good to treat them with righteousness.  Moreover, if you make them a part of your family, then treat them like your brethren.  And God distinguishes the evildoer from the righteous.  And had God willed, He would have put more of a burden on you.  Surely, God is Almighty, All Wise.
				وَلا تَنْكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكَتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ وَلأمَةٌ مُؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ وَلا تُنْكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا وَلَعَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُولَئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيُبَيِّنُ آيَتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
	228 221 4834 2435 118(173), 116(171) 885(1141) 175 2:221			Furthermore, do not marry those females who set up partners for god unless they believe.  And surely the believing woman is better than the female who sets up partners for god, even though you admire her.  And do not let your females marry those men who set up partners for god unless they believe.  And indeed a faithful servant is better than the one who sets up partners for god, even though you may be impressed with him. These are the ones who invite to Hell, while God invites to paradise and forgiveness by His leave.  He thus clarifies His Signs for the people that they may take heed.
				وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ وَلا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّى يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

And do not approach them until they are clean. Once they are clean, then you may approach them in a manner that God has commanded you.  Surely God loves those who repent and He loves the sincere.
				نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ وَقَدِّمُوا لأنْفُسِكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ مُلاقُوهُ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
	230 223 4836 2437 52 120(176), 118(174) 887(1144)  2:223			Your women are the bearers of your seed; therefore, you shall enjoy the bearers of your seed as you wish. And you shall be respectful.  Moreover, fear God and know that you will surely meet Him.  And give glad tidings to the faithful.
				وَلا تَجْعَلُوا اللَّهَ عُرْضَةً لأيْمَنِكُمْ أَنْ تَبَرُّوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَتُصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

				لا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِي أَيْمَنِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يُؤَاخِذُكُمْ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

				لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ فَإِنْ فَاءُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

				وَالْمُطَلَّقَتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلثَةَ قُرُوءٍ وَلا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوا إِصْلحًا وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
	235 228 4841 2442 125(183,184,185), 123(181,182.183) 892(1151,1152,1153) 180 2:228			And the divorcees shall impose an interim of three menstruation periods upon themselves.  Furthermore, it is not permitted for them to conceal what God has created in their wombs if they believe in God and the Last Day.  And it is the right of their husbands in this case if they wish to reconcile peacefully.  As for the women, they shall be an example of virtue.  Moreover, men have rank over them.  And God is Almighty, All Wise.
				الطَّلقُ مَرَّتَانِ فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَنٍ وَلا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَأْخُذُوا مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا إِلا أَنْ يَخَافَا أَلا يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلا يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا افْتَدَتْ بِهِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلا تَعْتَدُوهَا وَمَنْ يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّلِمُونَ
	236 229 4842 2443 126(186,187,188,189), 124(184,185,186,187) 893(1154,1155,1156,1157) 54 2:229			The divorce can be performed twice.  Afterwards, you shall let them live in their homes amicably or let them go amicably.  Moreover, it is not permitted for you to take back anything you have given them, unless the two of you fear that you are disregarding God's limits.  Therefore, if the two of you fear that you are not regarding God's limits, then, they commit no sin if they forfeit it.  These are God's limits; therefore, you shall not transgress them.  Furthermore, those who transgress God's limits, as a consequence, they become unjust.
				فَإِنْ طَلَّقَهَا فَلا تَحِلُّ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدُ حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَإِنْ طَلَّقَهَا فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَنْ يَتَرَاجَعَا إِنْ ظَنَّا أَنْ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ يُبَيِّنُهَا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

Thereafter, if there is a divorce, they commit no sin if they get back together, as long as they know that they are observing God's limits.  Moreover, these are God's limits; He clarifies them for the people who are knowledgeable.
				وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَلا تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا لِتَعْتَدُوا وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ وَلا تَتَّخِذُوا آيَتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَبِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
	238 231 4844 2445 128(192,193,194,195), 126(190,191,192,193) 895(1160,1161,1162,1163) 182 2:231			And when you divorce the women and once their interim is over, you shall allow them to reside in their homes or let them go amicably.  Furthermore, do not force them to stay, for it is a transgression.  And whoever does this then he is committing an injustice against his own soul.  Moreover, do not ridicule God's signs.  And remember God's blessings upon you and what He has revealed to you from the scripture and wisdom, whereby He enlightens you.  And fear God and know that indeed God knows about all things.
				وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَضَوْا بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ذَلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ ذَلِكُمْ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ

				وَالْوَلِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلدَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ وَعَلَى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ لا تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلا وُسْعَهَا لا تُضَارَّ وَالِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلا مَوْلُودٌ لَهُ بِوَلَدِهِ وَعَلَى الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالا عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَإِنْ أَرَدْتُمْ أَنْ تَسْتَرْضِعُوا أَوْلدَكُمْ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُمْ مَا آتَيْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
	240 233 4846 2447 130(198,199),128(196,197) 897(1166,1167) 55 2:233			Furthermore, mothers shall breast feed their children two complete years, if he wills that she completes nursing.  And it is incumbent upon the father to provide sustenance as well as clothing for the women, equitably.  No one is burdened beyond his means.  No mother shall suffer a loss because of her child, or a father because of his child.  And upon the inheritor, the same duties are incumbent. And if weaning is agreed upon between the two of them and after consultation, then they commit no sin.  Furthermore, if you wish to hire a nursing mother for your children, you commit no sin once you pay them fully and equitably.  And fear God and know that indeed God is All Seer of what you do.
				وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ

				وَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَكِنْ لا تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلا أَنْ تَقُولُوا قَوْلا مَعْرُوفًا وَلا تَعْزِمُوا عُقْدَةَ النِّكَاحِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَبُ أَجَلَهُ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

And know that God knows your innermost thoughts; consequently you shall be mindful of Him.  And know that indeed God is All Forgiving, Clement.
				لا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ مَا لَمْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ أَوْ تَفْرِضُوا لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ عَلَى الْمُوسِعِ قَدَرُهُ وَعَلَى الْمُقْتِرِ قَدَرُهُ مَتَاعًا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُحْسِنِينَ
	243 236 4849 2450 186 2:236			You commit no error if you divorce women before you have become intimate with them or before you give them a share of your earnings.  And provide for them according to your income, the rich as he can afford and the poor as he can afford, a provision along with righteousness.  This is a duty upon the righteous.
				وَإِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ إِلا أَنْ يَعْفُونَ أَوْ يَعْفُوَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ وَأَنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَلا تَنْسَوُا الْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

Indeed God is All Seer of what you do.
				حَفِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَتِ وَالصَّلوةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَنِتِينَ

				وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَجًا وَصِيَّةً لأزْوَجِهِمْ مَتَعًا إِلَى الْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ فَإِنْ خَرَجْنَ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي مَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِنَّ مِنْ مَعْرُوفٍ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

				وَلِلْمُطَلَّقَتِ مَتَعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ

He said, is it your intention that when fighting is decreed for you, you will not fight?  They said, and why should we not fight in the cause of God while we and our children are being driven from our homes?  However, once fighting was decreed for them, they refused, except a few of them.  And God knows all about the transgressors.
				وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكًا قَالُوا أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِنَ الْمَالِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِ وَاللَّهُ يُؤْتِي مُلْكَهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

They said, what makes him so deserving of kingship over us while we are more deserving of kingship, furthermore, he does not have much wealth?  He said, God has certainly chosen him over you and has given him plenty of knowledge and stature. Moreover, God gives His kingship to whomever He wills.  And God is Expander, All Knowing.
				وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ آيَةَ مُلْكِهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ التَّابُوتُ فِيهِ سَكِينَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِمَّا تَرَكَ آلُ مُوسَى وَآلُ هَرُونَ تَحْمِلُهُ الْمَلائِكَةُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَةً لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
	255 248 4861 2462 196 2:248			And their prophet said to them, certainly the sign of his kingship is the appearance of the box wherein is reassurance from your Lord and the relics that the people of Moses and the people of Aaron left behind, it will be carried by the angels.  Surely, in this there is a proof for you if you are faithful.
				فَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوتُ بِالْجُنُودِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مُبْتَلِيكُمْ بِنَهَرٍ فَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَمَنْ لَمْ يَطْعَمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي إِلا مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِيَدِهِ فَشَرِبُوا مِنْهُ إِلا قَلِيلا مِنْهُمْ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُ هُوَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ قَالُوا لا طَاقَةَ لَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُلاقُو اللَّهِ كَمْ مِنْ فِئَةٍ قَلِيلَةٍ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً كَثِيرَةً بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّبِرِينَ

Thereafter, when he and those who believed with him crossed it, they said, we cannot endure Goliath and his army today.  Those who knew that for sure they were going to meet God said, many small armies can defeat a large army by God's leave.  And God is with those who steadfastly persevere.
				وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَفِرِينَ

				فَهَزَمُوهُمْ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُدُ جَالُوتَ وَآتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْمُلْكَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِمَّا يَشَاءُ وَلَوْلا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَفَسَدَتِ الأرْضُ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْعَلَمِينَ

				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلا خُلَّةٌ وَلا شَفَعَةٌ وَالْكَفِرُونَ هُمُ الظَّلِمُونَ

				اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلا نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَتِ وَمَا فِي الأرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَوَتِ وَالأرْضَ وَلا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
	262 255 4868 2469 147(235), 145(233) 914(1203)  202 2:255			God, there is no god except He, The Living, The Self-Existing.  He does not age, nor does He sleep.  To Him belongs everything in the vacua and everything within matter.  Who can intercede in His presence except by His permission?  He knows their past as well as their future.  And no one can attain any knowledge from Him, except by His will.  His throne expands the vacua and matter and guarding them never burdens Him.  And He is The All High, The All Magnificent.
				لاإِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَى لا انْفِصَامَ لَهَا  وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

				اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ مِنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَتِ أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ

				أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِي حَاجَّ إِبْرَهِۦمَ فِي رَبِّهِ أَنْ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْمُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ رَبِّيَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا أُحْيِي وَأُمِيتُ قَالَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْتِي بِالشَّمْسِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّلِمِينَ

				أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّى يُحْيِي هَذِهِ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَ قَالَ لَبِثْتُ يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالَ بَلْ لَبِثْتَ مِائَةَ عَامٍ فَانْظُرْ إِلَى طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمْ يَتَسَنَّهْ وَانْظُرْ إِلَى حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجْعَلَكَ آيَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَانْظُرْ إِلَى الْعِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنْشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْمًا فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

				وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَهِۦمَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِ الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي قَالَ فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلَى كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءًا ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

				مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَلَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنْبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنْبُلَةٍ مِائَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَاللَّهُ يُضَعِفُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

				الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَلَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ لا يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنْفَقُوا مَنًّا وَلا أَذًى لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

				قَوْلٌ مَعْرُوفٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ يَتْبَعُهَا أَذًى وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَلِيمٌ

				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تُبْطِلُوا صَدَقَتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَالأذَى كَالَّذِي يُنْفِقُ مَالَهُ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ صَفْوَانٍ عَلَيْهِ تُرَابٌ فَأَصَابَهُ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَكَهُ صَلْدًا لا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَفِرِينَ
	271 264 4877 2478 156(251,252),154(249,250) 923(1219,1220) 209 2:264			O you who have attained faith do not ruin your charity with boasting and insult like the one who spends his money to impress people while he does not believe in God and the Last Day.  Therefore, his example is the example of an infertile land covered with topsoil, once a hard rain falls, it leaves it barren.  They will gain nothing from their earnings. Furthermore, God does not guide the disbelieving people.
				وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَلَهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ وَتَثْبِيتًا مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةٍ بِرَبْوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٌ فَآتَتْ أُكُلَهَا ضِعْفَيْنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهَا وَابِلٌ فَطَلٌّ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
	272 265 4878 2479 157(253,254),155(251,252) 924(1221,1222) 210 2:265			And the example of those who spend their money seeking God's approval and to strengthen their souls is like a garden that yields twice the crop when a hard rain falls on it, however, if no hard rain falls then a drizzle would suffice.  Moreover, God is All Seer of everything you do.
				أَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأنْهَرُ لَهُ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الْكِبَرُ وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَاءُ فَأَصَابَهَا إِعْصَارٌ فِيهِ نَارٌ فَاحْتَرَقَتْ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
	273 266 4879 2480 158(255), 156(253) 925(1223) 211 2:266			Would any one of you like to have a garden with palm trees and grapes with streams flowing underneath it, producing all kinds of fruits and as he gets old with small offspring, all of a sudden a firestorm hits it and burns it up?  God thus clarifies His signs for you that you may think.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْفِقُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَتِ مَا كَسَبْتُمْ وَمِمَّا أَخْرَجْنَا لَكُمْ مِنَ الأرْضِ وَلا تَيَمَّمُوا الْخَبِيثَ مِنْهُ تُنْفِقُونَ وَلَسْتُمْ بِآخِذِيهِ إِلا أَنْ تُغْمِضُوا فِيهِ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
	274 267 4880 2481 159(256), 157(254) 926(1224) 212 2:267			O you faithful, give from the pure things that you earn and from what We cause to grow out of the ground for you.  However, do not give away the bad things that you yourself do not keep, unless you do it unknowingly.  Moreover, you shall know that God is Rich, Praiseworthy.
				الشَّيْطَنُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُمْ مَغْفِرَةً مِنْهُ وَفَضْلا وَاللَّهُ وَسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
	275 268 4881 2482 160(257,258),158(255,256) 927(1225,1226) 213 2:268			Satan invites you to poverty and commands you to commit evil.  However, God invites you to forgiveness from Him and kindness.  Furthermore, God is Expander, All Knowing.
				يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلا أُولُو الألْبَبِ
	276 269 4882 2483 61 2:269			He grants wisdom to whomever He wills.  And, the one who received wisdom has received plenty of goodness.  Moreover, no one takes heed except those who possess vision.
				وَمَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ نَفَقَةٍ أَوْ نَذَرْتُمْ مِنْ نَذْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُهُ وَمَا لِلظَّلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنْصَارٍ
	277 270 4883 2484 161(259), 159(257) 928(1227) 214 2:270			Furthermore, what you give to charity or any dedication you dedicate; then surely God knows it.  And as for those who commit injustice, there are no helpers.
				إِنْ تُبْدُوا الصَّدَقَتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِيَ وَإِنْ تُخْفُوهَا وَتُؤْتُوهَا الْفُقَرَاءَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنْكُمْ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ
	278 271 4884 2485 162(260), 160(258) 929(1228) 62 2:271			If you declare your charities, then you reap its benefits. However, if you keep it a secret and give to the poor then it is better for you.  Furthermore, your sins will be remitted.  And God is All Cognizant of what you do.
				لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَاهُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلأنْفُسِكُمْ وَمَا تُنْفِقُونَ إِلا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لا تُظْلَمُونَ
	279 272 4885 2486 163(261,262),161(259,260) 930(1229,1230) 215 2:272			It is not you who guides them; it is God who guides whomever He wills.  And whatever good you spend, then it is for your own souls.  Moreover, whatever you spend shall be spent seeking only God's face, and whatever you spend of goodness will be repaid to you and you will not suffer any injustice.
				لِلْفُقَرَاءِ الَّذِينَ أُحْصِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِي الأرْضِ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَاءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُهُمْ بِسِيمَهُمْ لا يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ
	280 273 4886 2487 164(263,264),162(261,262) 931(1231,1232) 216 2:273			It is for the poor who are suffering in the cause of God and cannot travel the uninformed may think they are rich because of their dignified looks; they do not ask people for a share.  And whatever good you give, then God knows all about it.
				الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَلَهُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
	281 274 4887 2488 217 2:274			Those who spend their money night and day, privately and publicly, their reward is at their Lord, and they will have no fear nor will they ever be saddened.
				الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبَا لا يَقُومُونَ إِلا كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَنُ مِنَ الْمَسِّ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا الْبَيْعُ مِثْلُ الرِّبَا وَأَحَلَّ اللَّهُ الْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبَا فَمَنْ جَاءَهُ مَوْعِظَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ فَانْتَهَى فَلَهُ مَا سَلَفَ وَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَأُولَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
	282 275 4888 2489 165(265,266),163(263,264) 932(1233,1234) 218 2:275			Those who earn interest do not last; they only exist like the one whom Satan has touched with insanity.  This is because they say indeed interest is just like trade.  However, God has permitted trade and prohibited interest.  Thereafter, whoever receives enlightenment from his Lord and discontinues, then he can have what he has earned in the past and his deed is with God.  However, those who refuse, then these are dwellers of Hell, wherein they abide forever.
				يَمْحَقُ اللَّهُ الرِّبَا وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَتِ وَاللَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ
	283 276 4889 2490 166(267,268),164(265,266) 933(1235,1236) 219 2:276			God nullifies interest and multiplies charities.  Moreover, God does not love every unappreciative, sinner.
				إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّلِحَتِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَوةَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
	284 277 4890 2491 63 2:277			Surely, those who are faithful and lead a righteous life, and observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity have deserved their reward at their Lord.  And they will have no fear and nor will they ever be saddened.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَذَرُوا مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الرِّبَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ

				فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَلِكُمْ لا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ
	286 279 4892 2493 168(270), 166(268) 935(1238) 221 2:279			Therefore, if you do not take action, then, you shall expect a war from God and His messenger.  And if you repent, then you are in charge of your money, without committing any injustice, or suffering any injustice.
				وَإِنْ كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ وَأَنْ تَصَدَّقُوا خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	287 280 4893 2494 222 2:280			Moreover, if he is suffering hardship, then a respite shall be given until an easier time.  And if you consider it as a charity it is better for you, if you only knew.
				وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لا يُظْلَمُونَ
	288 281 4894 2495 169(271), 167(269) 936(1239) 64 2:281			And fear the day that you will be returned to God.  Then every soul will be repaid for what she has earned and no one will suffer any injustice.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا تَدَايَنْتُمْ بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُ وَلْيَكْتُبْ بَيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِ وَلا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللَّهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ رَبَّهُ وَلا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَفِيهًا أَوْ ضَعِيفًا أَوْ لا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَاءِ أَنْ تَضِلَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأخْرَى وَلا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَاءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا وَلا تَسْأَمُوا أَنْ تَكْتُبُوهُ صَغِيرًا أَوْ كَبِيرًا إِلَى أَجَلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَدَةِ وَأَدْنَى أَلا تَرْتَابُوا إِلا أَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَرَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَلا تَكْتُبُوهَا وَأَشْهِدُوا إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ وَلا يُضَارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلا شَهِيدٌ وَإِنْ تَفْعَ
